A populated release date is affirmative evidence that DCSO recorded the end of that jail episode. It does not establish that the person entered the community. A transfer to another DCSO unit, the Tennessee Department of Correction, another county, federal custody, or immigration custody requires another check. A blank field also does not settle current custody. Open the detail and contact DCSO before drawing a conclusion.
Check Davidson Same-Day Releases

The list has no photo column. Its detail may show facility and booking dates, yet those fields remain a snapshot. If identity or disposition is uncertain, provide the control number when asking DCSO for the full booking and release episode.

Bond or recognizance can end physical jail custody while the case remains pending. Time served or sentence expiration may end a jail term, but another hold can remain. A transfer is not community release. Always state what the named custodian reported.

A pretrial release ends the jail hold for that episode, but it does not decide the criminal charge. Pair DCSO's release timestamp with the Criminal Court Clerk docket and current bond conditions.
The clerk's public criminal case reporting system reflects filed documents and docket entries. DCSO warns that bond figures can change and directs updated bond questions to the clerk at 615-862-5670. If the jail detail and docket seem out of step, compare their timestamps. A court order can precede the time DCSO completes discharge steps.
Davidson Release Window Limits
The recent page's 48-hour label describes admissions. It is not a promise that every Davidson County release remains online for 48 hours. A person admitted three days ago and released this morning may never appear in the visible set. By contrast, someone admitted and released today can appear with both timestamps. DCSO provides no public retention guarantee after a row ceases to qualify.
Save the control number and observation time when a relevant row appears. If the record rolls off, request the episode by name and approximate dates. A factual report should say “DCSO recorded release” and cite the date and time, rather than claim a broader status the county record does not establish.
Davidson Release Mobile Access
The DCSO portal offers Mobile View. That is a mobile layout for the same search website, not a dedicated sheriff recent-release app. No official DCSO app for a same-day release list or mugshots was verified. The state MyTN app provides access to TDOC FOIL under Public Safety, but it covers state felony custody and supervision, not the Davidson jail feed.
